Today (October 28) we took the step... we ordered batiks for the shop! I had a moment of hesitation but after listening to Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts at Quilt Market in Houston, I knew it was something we had to do. I think of batiks as a type of fabric that you use to make a BATIK quilt, but seeing Edyta's beautiful quilts, I now see how beautifully they can be incorporated into every other type of quilt. She uses them beautifully with Civil Wars fabrics and her quilts have a richness about them. We will keep you posted. For all those batik lovers let us know what you think. We were so excited!
