Dear Quilting Friends, This is one of my favorite times of the year. We love the holidays but now we will have time to re-focus and get back to some of our projects. At the shop it is the time to really gear up and start some new projects. Our website doesn't yet reflect the exciting things happening at ATOA but soon. Attached is the January calendar and some events not to miss... Frosty Fling Sale and much more. Here are some of the upcoming projects and events: Ann is teaching a Basic Skills class with a New Quilter's Club following throughout the year. This is a great place to fire up new quilters. More Quilt Smart and Buggy Barn. These are always great quilt ideas. Wool applique notebook class - learn the basics of wool applique and end up with a notebook to take to all your quilting classes We have four new "series" quilts - Garden Hoppin' - An Easter bunny quilt pieced with some wool applique, three meetings Patchwork Neighborhood - A new house quilt with twelve house blocks and many choices for the alternate block. The house blocks are taught like "Saturday sampler," "a $5 quilt," which means you buy one block for $5 and the second block is FREE providing that you meet the requirements like come to class on time with a completed block A new Block of the Month called "MEMORIES OF PROVENCE" starting February 29th, twelve months, at least two settings with kits available. A series of six blocks called LOVEBIRD LANE, mostly pieced with some applique, really precious, 62" x 72". Our Pheasant Run Retreat is scheduled for March 16-18 with the EXPLODING LONE STAR as our topic. In January we will send an email showing some of the samples. Wait until you see what we have planned.
